I25 Create VMWare 14 Pro Virtual Machine

  1. Create a new Virtual Machine, select Custom (advanced), and click Next.


  2. Select Workstation 14.x from the dropdown and click Next.


  3. Select "I will install the operating system later" and click Next.


  4. Select Windows Server 2012 from the dropdown and click Next.


  5. Name the VM and choose a location to store it and click Next.


  6. Select UEFI and click Next.


  7. Select 2 in both dropdowns and click Next.


  8. Change "Memory for this virtual machine" to 8192MB (or click 8GB to the left of the slider), and click Next.


  9. Select "Use bridged networking" and click Next.


  10. Select LSI Logic SAS (this will likely be the only option you can choose) and click Next.


  11. Select SCSI and click Next.


  12. Select "Use an existing virtual disk" and click Next.


  13. Select the VM image you downloaded and click Next.


  14. Click Finish.


  15. Run the VM, and continue with server configuration from the readme file on the desktop. The Administrator password is coh123!
